The Highlands at Wyomissing has a longstanding, impressive reputation – considered to be one of the premier continuing care retirement communities in the state of Pennsylvania.
One of the reasons why they’re so highly regarded? Their exceptional dining program, meticulously headed by Director of Dining, Todd Saylor.
With over 30 years in the food service industry, Todd manages the community’s unique upscale dining program, featuring multiple dining venues with a range of meal choices and quality ingredients sure to match residents’ desires to a tee.
MealSuite is proud to help empower Todd and his team with the end-to-end food service management tools that they need as they continue to do incredible work serving smiles and satisfaction to their retirement community:
Just a couple of the things that make The Highland’s food service so exceptional:
At The Highlands, they take the saying “variety is the spice of life” very seriously! Across their 113 acre campus, they offer residents a choice of three dining locations – the Terrace Room, Bistro or the Wyomissing Club (complete with a stocked bar!), to suit the mood of any resident. On top of dining atmosphere choice, residents are offered at least seven entrees topped off with a range of fresh baked goods for dessert.
With well over 400 patients and residents ranging across residential living, skilled nursing and personal levels of care, Todd uses resident management and nutritional data tools to help ensure everyone in his community is served the meal they enjoy and require, every time. He’s happy that his MealSuite System is built to support not only the residential living, but the skilled nursing as well – something, he explains, you can’t find in most other systems.
A huge thank you to Todd Saylor and his team at the Highlands for sharing their story and being such a powerful example of excellent resident dining. We are so proud to be your partner in food service!
